We’re adding a sewing circle to our usual fabric swap! A time to be SEWcial (bad puns included) with old & new sewing friends and maybe get some hand sewing/making projects done too.
Bring fabric to swap starting at 1 pm—the swap itself begins at 1:30 pm. Stay and hang out until 2:30/3!

We’re partnering once again with @creative_reuse to collect the extras at the end! Please no scraps or me-mades. 

FAQ:

• No scraps, but are partial yardages okay?

  • Yes, that is fine! Fat quarters, etc are okay to bring.

• Do I have to bring items to attend?

  • Nope, feel free to come anyways!

• Can I leave items without taking anything?

  • Sure!

• Is there a limit to how much I can take?

  • No limit (just be reasonable, of course!)

• Does fabric need to be washed or labeled?

  • Pre-wash or labels are not required, but brownie points. 🙂

• Can I bring me-made garments?

  • Not this time! Try the Sew PGH discord if you want to swap.

• When can I drop off my fabric or items to swap?

  • Drop off your items from 1-1:30 pm. The swap itself will begin at 1:30 pm and wrap at 2:30 for cleaning.

• Is there parking?

  • Yes, there is street parking along the library.

• Where do all the leftovers go?

  • All remaining items are donated to Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse!

• Does this event cost money?

  • No, the event is completely free! If you’d like to make a voluntary donation, you’re welcome to support Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse at the event.

• Can I bring my kid?

  • Sure!
